At Boudl Company hotels Group we’re looking to recruit an IT Manager to take responsibility for maintaining and supporting all IT systems within the region as required by leading a strong IT team that has a responsibility.

Primary objectives of position:



To keep abreast of trends within both IT and the hotel industry
To liaise with current and potential suppliers in order to gain the best support and prices
To liaise with the cross company IT team to gain leverage and achieve consistency across the whole chain
To co-ordinate and plan the rollout of any new project in conjunction with the CITM
To offer advice and guidance to GM’s/HM’s and the company IT team







Main tasks and responsibilities:



Communication and Teamwork



Schedule and construct regular meetings with the regional IT team to discuss ongoing projects, provide support, guidance and resources as necessary
Liaise with GM’s and HM’s and attend 1-1 meetings with them
Liaise with CITM and IT members to discuss future trends and rollouts for the group




Management



Compile the IT budgets
Implement, monitor and provide feedback on existing and new IT policies
Review Sysaid at least once a week to ensure outstanding issues have been dealt with in a timely manner
Appraise and set objectives for the IT team members every six months
Procure hardware and software at the best possible price




Project Duties



Assist CITM in understanding and collecting future requirements for both existing hotels and new builds
Meet with team to co-ordinate the rollout of any new systems and upgrades in both existing and new builds
Plan the implementation of new systems and upgrades in both existing hotels and new builds with the CITM and oversee implementation
Follow up on all installs/upgrades and ascertain user’s satisfaction
Project assurance – i.e. correctly running projects to specification and ensuring they meet business objectives
Ensure project paperwork – schedules, communications, risks, lessons learned are filed




Technical Duties:



Maintain all IT systems of all hotels and office within the region. This includes, but is not limited to, LAN, WAN, PBX, PCs, hotel specific systems eg POS, VC, CCTV, Companywide systems like webmarshall web filtering, network access control, Symantec updates
Responsible for the delivery of 2nd and 3rd line support for all users within the region and co-ordinate technical issues of systems outsourced to various suppliers
Audit existing configurations to maintain the standard


المهارات


At least 8 years experience within the IT industry (of which 2 years must be in hospitality) and provable experience with Opera.


In depth knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (Applicable Microsoft certifications: MCSA, MCTS or MCITP for Windows Server, MCDST for workstations.)


Experience administering networks in a Windows Server/Workstation environment


Knowledge of network infrastructure, including CAT5/6 cabling, wireless networks, network switches, WAN/LAN, Domain Controller, Active Directory, VPN.


Experience with Hospitality related systems eg PMS, POS, PBX, Keycard


Understanding of hotel processes


Hard working, able to work in a paced working environment and to initiate, manage and complete projects on his/her own


Has a long-term overview of tasks and responsibilities


Demonstrates appropriate urgency in taking action to resolve issues


Knows how to explain a complex matter in a logical order to the audience


Capable of effectively diagnosing problems and thoroughly analysing information


Has the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines


Has the ability to assist and support others


Manage a team
