The Dow Chemical Company is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to be based in Jubail, Saudi Arabia
The Dow Chemical Company’s Human Resources Function has an exciting and challenging position for a HR Generalist, located in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. This role is critical to the successful start-up of Dow businesses at the Sadara Industrial Site, and provides value to the clients by anticipating their needs and implementing HR processes and services to meet those needs. The HR Generalist partners with HR colleagues in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East region to implement the necessary initiatives that support the people components of Dow’s strategic plans.
Primary responsibilities:Manage the Strategic Workforce Plan for the businesses that are building new facilities and starting up operations in Jubai, including the development of Saudization and government mandated processes Execute the recruitment and hiring plan for more than 100 employees to be hired during the next two years Interface with the appropriate government representatives regarding employment/labor matters Ability to support all client needs for Dow businesses located in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. Educate and provide council to leadership and employees on application of HR policies and work processes. Manage the change process to influence and shape the desired culture. Provide an interface between HR work processes and clients to ensure process integrity and flexibility to advantage clients. Partner with HR Service and leaders (business and functional) ensuring seamless HR communication and service to the client group. Particularly critical for strategic HR issues impacting the HR Service leader’s ability to consult at high levels in their organization. Educate and Provide counsel to leadership and employees applicable employment laws and legislated requirements with respect to human resources. Ensure successful local implementation and application of HR policies and programs. May include development and implementation of local policies and procedures that are aligned with global HR policies and work processes. Coordinate responses to critical data requests. Develop and implement a site training and development plan for new hires

Must be a Saudi National
University Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or any other Social Science disciplines.
Minimum 4 years of experience as a HR generalist gaining from multinational companies
Good interpersonal skills, including but not limited to conflict resolution, listening, influencing and negotiation skills
Good team player with excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong analytical skills and able to make recommendations to senior management
Fluency in English and Arabic languages (written and spoken)
Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and HRIS,
Ability to both relate to and communicate with a wide variety of people and cultures while upholding a high level of integrity, ethics and trustworthiness
Outstanding analytical and decision making skills
Ability to build relationships with clients through expertise and consultation
Ability to be both an employee advocate and represent leadership
Possess knowledge of local labor policies, laws and legislation
Ability to analyze data and situations, make recommendations and assist with implementation
Ability to manage multiple priorities along with special projects
Strong facilitation and presentation skills
Exceptional project management skills
Strong knowledge and understanding of the Saudi labor law and government requirements
